Young, Eileen; of Fergus. Passed away at Caressant Care, Arthur on Sunday, December 26, 2010 in her 87th year. Beloved wife of the late Austin Young (1976). Loved mother of Bryan (Linda) of Arthur. Predeceased by her parents William and Elizabeth Manto (1967), and by her sisters Arnetta and Wilhelmine and brothers Milton and Alvin. Eileen was employed for many years at Stedmans in Fergus and then for 20 years at Canadian Tire in Fergus until her retirement in 1990. Eileen had been a member of the Royal Canadian Legion in Fergus since 1977, and had been an active member of the Anglican Church Women’s Group for most of her adult life. Friends were received at Thomson Funeral Home, 160 St. David Street North, Fergus 519-843-2380 on Thursday, December 30 from 7-9pm. A service to celebrate Eileen’s life was held in the Thomson chapel on Friday, December 31 at 11am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Groves Memorial Community  Hospital.
