YAKE, Alex - Peter Alexander “Alex” Yake, of Mount Forest, passed away at the Louise Marshall Hospital, Mount Forest on Sunday, September 10th, 2017 in his 73rd year. Beloved husband of Annie (nee Horsburgh). Dear brother of Ben Yake and his wife Jo-Anne, Joan Graham, Mary Greig and Islay Yake and her husband Dennis McCann. Fondly remembered by Annie’s children Michelle Bauman and Jeff Wollis and their families and by his many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by his parents Hugh and Islay Yake, his brother Archie Yake, his brother-in-law Don Graham and his niece Islay Jo Greig. Friends called at the England Funeral Home, Mount Forest on Wednesday, September 13th from 2 – 4 p.m. and on Thursday, September 14th from 10 – 10:45 a.m. A service celebrating Alex’s life was held at the Funeral Home on Thursday, September 14th at 11 a.m. Interment at Woodland Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society or St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church would be appreciated by the family.
