FERGUS – Habitat for Humanity Guelph Wellington is currently recruiting local businesses to take part in team building days at its Garafraxa Street build site in Fergus.

Described on the organization’s website as “an extraordinary team building experience,” Habitat Team Build Days offer businesses the chance to sponsor an exclusive build day for teams of up to 10 employees to work on a habitat site.

“Join us on our Habitat build site and not only will your team bond and strengthen their communication skills, but they’ll also have the chance to swing a hammer, don a hard hat, and work together to build homes for families in need,” the website reads.

The price of the day is $5,000, and it includes full safety orientation and on-site support, keepsake T-shirts for participants, lunch and refreshments, a commemorative team photo, the business’ logo displayed on site for the day, an invite to the home dedication ceremony, social media recognition for the business, and a toolkit of content companies can use to promote their build day on their own social media accounts.

But you don’t have to be a business to have your own collaborative build day.

A group of friends, family or coworkers can secure a build day at the Fergus site by forming a team and fundraising to reach the $5,000 price tag through the “Together We Build” campaign.

“Habitat GW Build Days are for everyone,” the website says.
