The upcoming Wooly Kinderconcerts at River Run Centre provide the perfect way for families with little ones to spend a wintery Saturday.

Based on the theme of ‘One Thousand and One Arabian Nights’, the music will set the stage for tales of intrigue and adventure from far away lands.

The shows take place on Jan. 18 in the Co-operators Hall at 9:30, 10:30, and 11:30am.

The Wooly Kinderconcerts were created as a way to introduce pre-school aged children to classical music and the instruments of the orchestra.

Children gather in a circle as a narrator reads a story aloud, whisking them away to the land of Aladdin’s lamp, Sinbad the Sailor and magical carpet rides, while members of the Guelph Symphony Orchestra illuminate the story through thematic music.

Following the show, children are welcome to ask questions, and see and touch the instruments up close.

Tickets are $14 for adults, $11 for children, and $5 eyeGO are available for high school students with valid ID.

Everyone must have a ticket to enter the theatre, including children and infants. Each child must have adult accompaniment.

Tickets are available at the River Run Centre box office at 519-763-3000, or online at riverrun.ca.
