Wolverines teams enjoy successful season

MOUNT FOREST – The Wellington Heights Secondary School Senior Girls volleyball team, coached by Ms. Kosempel and Ms. Topham, had a very successful season, finishing fourth this year with six wins and four losses. In the playoffs, the Wolverines played solidly, making it to the semi-finals against Westside Secondary School from Orangeville, who finished first in the league with nine wins and only one loss. The Wolverines, however, lost in three sets (17-25, 25-12, 25-20). The Wellington Heights Junior Girls volleyball team, coached by Ms. Severn, Ms. West and Mr. Kalbfleisch, also had a very successful season, finishing fourth this year with five wins and five losses. In the playoffs, the Wolverines played very well, making it to the semi-finals against Westside Secondary School from Orangeville, who were undefeated throughout the season. The two teams needed four sets to determine a winner to advance to the District 4 finals. Wellington Heights lost 3-1 (25-21, 26-24, 24-26, 25-9).
