Witter brings Fab Four to city on Dec. 10

GUELPH – On Friday, Dec. 10 at 8pm, Jim Witter will perform The Long and Winding Road.

Witter returns by popular demand, this time, to celebrate the music of Lennon and McCartney and to explore the inspiration behind such Beatles’ favourites such as the early She Loves You and Hey Jude.

The Long and Winding Road came to life after fans of his Billy Joel and Elton John tribute show, The Piano Men, encouraged him to create something exploring the songs of the Beatles and the band’s worldwide impact. Since he had long considered The Beatles the greatest rock and pop group of all time, Witter and his band found that the new show came together seamlessly.

Witter began staging shows in local living rooms around Hamilton when he was just 7 years old, and by 14, he had written his first song. At the age of 17, he was performing professionally. His knack for storytelling, rich vocals and easy on stage rapport makes his audiences feel as though they are being treated to a intimate in their own home.

He has received multiple awards and nominations from the Canadian Country Music Association and the Juno Awards for performing and songwriting.

Tickets are on sale now through the box office or online at riverrun.ca. As part of the uGO program, university and college students may purchase tickets for $20 each. Through eyeGO, high school students may attend for just $5 each.
