Wilson named Grand Master of Mercer Masonic Lodge

Robert Wilson has just been installed as Master of Mercer Masonic Lodge here.

Installing Master was Raymond Pearse, assisted by many Masons from Lodges in Guelph, Erin, Georgetown, Drayton, Elora.

Special guests were David Hyde, of Acton, District Deputy Grand Master of Wellington District of the Grand Lodge of Canada in the Province of Ontario, Alan Cunningham Grand Steward, Douglas Gilchrist assistant Grand Chaplain, Adrian DeVries, Grand Organist, and many past Grand Lodge officers.

Other Mercer Officers invested were immediate Past Master Michael Pears, Senior Warden William McCaw, Junior Warden Jeff McClennan, Chaplain Herb Lannaghan, Treasurer David Chance, Secretary Frank Barkhouse, assistant Secretary Keith Roszell, Senior Deacon Keith Beattie, Junior Deacon Thomas Reed, Director of Ceremonies Roy Knapton, Senior Steward Neil Wilson, Junior Steward Sean Mulligan, Organist Andy DeVries, Inner Guard Bob Meiklejohn, Tyler Morgan Ramage, Historian John Carter.

Mercer Lodge was instituted in 1876 and meets the fourth Wednesday of the month at the Masonic Centre, 310 St. Andrew Street East, in Fergus.
