WIDEMAN, Ephraim M. Passed away peacefully in his sleep, at Barnswallow Place in Elmira, on Saturday, January 27, 2018 in his 89th year. Ephraim lovingly remembered his late wife of 59 years, Ruth (Mickus) Wideman (2011). Loving father of Lorraine Wideman, Sharon and Chester Martin, Sandra Wall, Karen Wideman, Michael Wideman and his partner Joanne Rutherford. Loving grandfather of Kyle (Shonna) Martin, Lindsay Martin, Ryan Martin, Jacob Wall, Katelyn (Joel) Vanhie, Courtney Wideman and Megan Wideman. Great-grandfather of Wrenleigh Martin and Fergus Vanhie. Brother of Erma Martin and Wilma Martin. Predeceased by his son-in-law Abraham Wall (2010), parents Elias M. and Lydia Ann (Martin) Wideman, brothers Edwin, Gordon, Tilman, Menno, Clayton and Abner Wideman, and sisters Mary Martin, Lydia Ann Bauman, and Elvina Wideman. Special thanks to all the staff at Barnswallow Place for the excellent care he received. Ephraim’s family received relatives and friends on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira. Funeral service took place on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Knox Presbyterian Church, 55 Church St. E., Elora.
