WFA elects Parker as new president

The  Wellington Federation of Agriculture held its annual meeting and banquet on Friday Nov. 7.

After two years as presi­dent, Gary Nelson stepped down. David Parker, of RR4 Belwood was acclaimed as president.

First Vice President will be Ryan Koeslag of RR3 Clifford, and second vice president is now Steve Dineen, of RR1  Ken­il­worth.

Among the highlights of the evening were a speech from Wendy Omvlee who is running for OFA Vice President, intro­duction of Mark Reusser as the new Waterloo, Wellington, Duf­­ferin Director, and the honouring of Laura Austin , the 2007-2008 Ray Baptie schol­arship recipient.
