West Luther 4H club explores world of worms
Written by Frankie Duncan
WELLINGTON NORTH – The West Luther Soil Conservation 4H Club held its second meeting on April 27.
The “Worm Wrangler,” Amanda Hunter, taught and helped us with our red wiggler worm farms.
Hunter taught us what to feed the worms, how to take care of them, and what their habitat is – along with many other cool facts about them.
We also went out in the field to take a closer look at the soil horizons and identify which field is the most healthy and which has the most compaction.
We learned a lot and had fun thanks to the Worm Wrangler and the Lennox family, who let us use their farm.
