West Luther 4-H Beef Club
On April 16, the West Luther 4-H Beef Club held its first meeting at E and J. Craig Farms.
First we picked this year’s officers for the club: president - Charlene Elliott; vice president - Sarah Height; secretary - Sydnee Stewart; and press reporters - Madi Bott, Jeremy Burns, Gus Reid and Morgan Unsworth.
We learned about the Speckle Park breed and where they came from in Saskatchewan. Afterwards, we judged baked goods.
Finally, Elgin Craig showed us how they run their handling facilities.
Charlene then closed the meeting.
I would like to say thank you to Elgin, Joan and their son James, for holding our first meeting.
Our next meeting will be at Walkerbrae Farms on May 16 at 7pm.
