Dr. Paul Druzin and Dr. Dave McLaren will join the Mount Forest Family Health Team in April.
Both family physicians will share one practice.

“The current doctors are looking forward to having help to serve our large patient population, especially those who are looking to ease into retirement.”
Dr. Paul Druzin received his medical degree from the University of Western Ontario. He completed his residency training at McGill University.
For the past 10 years, he has worked in a small remote Ontario community. He also served in the Israel Defence Forces as a medical officer.
Dr. Dave McLaren received his medical degree from the University of Toronto and completed his Family Medicine residency training at Queens University. He has spent the past 10 years providing health care to rural and underserviced communities throughout Ontario.
The pair first worked together at a Toronto Medical Centre dedicated to serving street-associated youth and both doctors have a keen interest in working in an underserviced rural community.
The recruitment of the two physicians was made possible by the Mount Forest and area health care recruitment committee.
After the physicians contacted the Health Care Alliance recruiter, the committee swung into action organizing hospital, medical clinic and community site visits, said Suzanne Trivers, chairman of the recruitment committee.
“The expertise and support provided by the members of the committee made these site visits a solid source of information about our area and local health care services,” stated Trivers. “Our community’s recent success could not have been accomplished if it were not for municipal support.”
Patients who want to sign up with the new physicians are invited to contact the clinic.
A sign-up package can be picked up at the Claire Stewart Medical Clinic at 525 Dublin Street in Mount Forest or patients may call reception at 519-323-0255 and ask for the package to be mailed.
Completed forms can be mailed or hand delivered to the medical clinic.
The package includes a welcome letter, a health history form, a Ministry of Health and Long Term Care roster form and a patient information package that explains how the clinic runs.
