MOUNT FOREST – While there won’t be any swimming there, the site of the former Mount Forest swimming pool will still attract visitors as the new site of the Wellington North Farmers’ Market.
“This year, the market is moving to an exciting new location at the corner of Grant Street and Parkside Drive in Mount Forest, the site of the former outdoor pool,” stated a township news release.
“This change promises to bring a fresh and vibrant atmosphere to the market.”
The farmers’ market, which is gearing up for its 12th season, will open on June 14 and will operate every Saturday morning from 8:30am to noon.
“Buying local has numerous benefits, including the peace of mind that comes from knowing where your food comes from,” the release stated.
Shopping at the market gives buyers an opportunity to ask questions and connect directly with the farmers who grow the food, while also supporting local farmers and producers and contributing to the local economy, it stated.
The Wellington North Farmers’ Market is supported by the participating vendors, the township, MARCC Apparel, 88.7 The River, Forest Physiotherapy, and Taste Real: Wellington County.
