Wellington Heights Wolverines win District 4 senior volleyball championship
SHELBURNE – The Wellington Heights Wolverines claimed the District 4 Senior volleyball championship on Nov. 7 at Centre Dufferin District High School in Shelburne. The Wolverines finished the season in second place with seven wins and three losses.
In the semi-finals, the Wolverines beat Westside Secondary School from Orangeville 3-0, and then faced first place Centre Dufferin in the final. Down two matches to none in the championship finals, the Wolverines rallied to win three games straight to claim the District 4 championship. The Wolverines will advance to the CWOSSA Championships on Nov. 16 at École secondaire catholique Père-René de Galiné in Cambridge.
