Wellington Heights students recognized for academic, extracurricular and leadership successes

MOUNT FOREST – On Oct. 16 students in Grades 10, 11, and 12 at Wellington Heights Secondary School in Mount Forest were recognized for their academic, extracurricular and leadership successes this past school year. Students on the honour roll, those who scored the highest marks in their courses, and those who earned the highest academic average for their grade level were all honoured in a school assembly. This year, School Letter Awards were also presented to approximately 10 students in each grade – as voted on by the staff – for demonstrating the following criteria:  significant academic success or improvement, positive representative of the school and actively involved in school life. Additionally, Student Council Leadership Awards and some special awards were presented to deserving students. In addition to receiving certificates, award recipients also received some home-baked treats courtesy of the school’s Foodies Club.
