Wellington Heights Secondary School recognizes National Truth and Reconciliation Day

MOUNT FOREST – Students and staff at Wellington Heights Secondary School in Mount Forest recognized National Truth and Reconciliation Day or “Orange Shirt Day” on Sept. 29 by wearing orange shirts, buttons, or orange ribbon in honour of Indigenous people who were victims of Residential Schools. Teachers also integrated learning activities throughout National Truth and Reconciliation Week in their classrooms. The activities were organized by school equity lead Jessica Rowden.
