They competed against eight other teams from Centre Dufferin District High School (DHS), Erin DHS, Norwell DSS and Westside Secondary School.

WHSS ended up with the top overall score of day at 239: McDonald scored 73,  Corley scored 78, Young scored 88, and Hornibrook scored 90.

McDonald was crowned as the overall best golfer of the day for District Four boys, and Corley finished 3rd place overall for his score.

The winning foursome then advanced to CWOSSA, which was held at the Victoria Park East Golf Club in Guelph on Oct. 6.

Despite McDonald scoring the second-best score of the day, neither he nor the WHSS foursome advanced to the Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations Boys’ Golf Championships.
