Wellington County Museum and Archives new exhibit, 'Not Just Dirt: Digging into the Science of Soil'
CENTRE WELLINGTON – Jules and Monty Smith got the chance to play in the mud at the opening of the Wellington County Museum and Archives new exhibit, “Not Just Dirt: Digging into the Science of Soil,” on June 15.
The family-friendly event included children’s activities, soil-themed snacks, and tours of the exhibit, with soil scientists and curators on hand to answer questions.
Ontario Senator Rob Black also spoke at the event, emphasizing the important role soil plays in our food systems, plant and animal health, and its impact by climate change.
