County libraries to reopen on April 1

WELLINGTON COUNTY – Library branches across the county will reopen on April 1 for limited in-person services.

Browsing will be limited to 30 minutes and all patrons must complete screening upon entry and adhere to all COVID-19 public health measures.

Visitors must also call ahead to book a time for computer use.

“We look forward to welcoming our patrons back into our branches,” stated chief librarian Rebecca Hine in a March 29 press release.

“At this time we will be offering limited service. We hope to be able to offer an additional range of in person services when it is deemed safe to do so.”

On Dec. 1, all Wellington County library branches were closed in response to rising cases of COVID-19 in the community.

The libraries continued to offer curbside pick up to residents – and that service will continue for those who do not wish to visit in person.
