Wellington Artists gallery opens fifth season April 28

Wellington Artists’ Gallery and Art Centre at 6142 County Road 29 southwest invites everyone to the opening of its fifth season and the opening of its new outdoor sculpture park on April 28.

The formal opening will be from 2 to 4pm with the opening ceremony at 3pm.

Bringing greetings from the Wellington-Halton Riding will be Ted Arnott MPP; from the Wellington County and then Centre Wellington Mayor Joanne Ross-Zui and from the Elora Arts Council, new chairman Barb Lee.

There is a contest to name the members’ new show with a fitting prize for the winner, which will be drawn at 3:30pm.

Featured artist Monte Wright will stage a solo exhibition, Our Canadian Heritage, which complements the themed show. Guest artist, Pat Armstrong, will exhibit a new selection of watercolour.
