Weiland, Ulrike Ursel (Riki); Only daughter of Oscar and Anna Weiland who emigrated to Canada from Germany in 1953 died peacefully early Saturday morning on January 19th, 2013 at the age of 69. Riki succumbed to cancer after four valient years of successive treatments. She is survived by her beloved sons Chauncey Smith (Keleigh Ardell) of Toronto, Reade Smith (Nadine Youngberg) of Victoria and her friend for life Judi Irwin of Kincardine. Riki will be missed by many as a mother, friend, artist and as a vibrant active member of the community. A memorial tribute to Riki’s life and artistic legacy will be held at the Elora Legion on Sunday, February 17th from 2pm to 4pm.
