The Arboretum here is offering walks until Aug. 29 on Wednesday evenings beginning at 7pm.

Most programs will be one and a half hours long. Those interested should meet at the J.C. Taylor Centre at 7pm to begin.

The cost is $2 per person and children under 5 are free.

Some of the topics are:

- June 20 - Birding 101 “It’s a warbler, no it is a vireo, it’s ahhhhhhh …” Learn the basics of bird identification, and then grab binoculars and try to figure out which birds are hanging out at The Arboretum.

- June 27, Systems for Survival How Ontario’s reptiles have evolved. Try to figure out how reptilian neighbours have survived for so many millions of years and what threats they are facing now. Figure out how to help and guess about their evolutionary future.
