Wedding Show donation tops $10,000

The Fergus Wedding Show donations now exceed $10,000 for Cystic Fibrosis research.

Thanks in part to the most recent show held here earlier this year, the event finally topped more than $10,000 raised in support of the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation over the course of the event’s 14 year history.

Show organizers, Ralph Basset Associates Inc., and the Fergus and District Kinsmen are excited about surpassing the milestone.

“The funds raised over the history of this event have truly helped make a difference in the lives of children and adults living with Cystic Fibrosis,” said Bruce Lloyd, partner at Ralph Basset Associates Inc. and member of the Fergus and District Kinsmen Club.

“We are proud to host an event that not only draws attention to the great services available in our community, but also supports the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s efforts to find a cure.”

For the past 14 years, show has combined serving the wedding needs of rural Centre Wellington with a dedication to raising awareness about Cystic Fibrosis, the most common fatal genetic disease affecting young Canadians.
