WEB ONLY: Celebrating literacy

East Wellington Community Services celebrated Family Literacy Day in Rockwood on Jan. 27 with 100 children and parents attending a celebration with Alice Sinker, an illustrator of the Franklin children’s books. As a Franklin story was being read to the group, the artist drew an illustration of the famous turtle. The children also enjoyed turtle crafts, decorating muffins and chatting with the artist during this fun morning.
