Water walk

On May 1 the Concerned Residents Coalition (CRC) held a water walk. Participants wound their way through Rockwood to the town’s water tower. Rand Peter of Nassagaweya and Spencer Lippa of Halton Hills, two young activists, spoke about the urgency of protecting water and the environment, especially the urgency of stopping the proposed Hidden Quarry. Guelph MPP Mike Schreiner commended community voices which gave him the authority to speak for environmental protections in the Legislature.
