Water Day March 22

March 22 is World Water Day. Hundreds of communities will highlight concerns for the world’s supply of clean, public water.
Guelph is hosting possibly the largest per capita event in Canada   James Gordon  and The Funky Mamas will perform, environmental groups will talk about our current situation, and academics will provide tech­nical information.
The Funky Mamas and the children will carry a long blue river of colour around St. George’s Square. School and environmental groups are bringing banners and art to display.
A group of children from Eden Mills Going Carbon Neutral is singing the Carbon Neutral anthem. In case of poor weather on the Old Quebec Street Mall will hold the event, which starts at noon and ends at 1pm.
