Warriors suffer tough loss in tournament

The Centre Wellington PeeWee Warriors team weathered the storm on Feb. 1 and faced a dominating Tiverton team in its first game of the South Bruce Tournament.

Goalie Kyle Young made a remarkable 36 saves in this game, but it ended with a loss.  Hayden Ireland scored the two Warrior goals, and was named player of the game.

The second game versus Owen Sound was very close and very well-played. In this game, both Seamus Hotson and Cole McKenna deserve special note for their efforts. Braeden Campbell opened the scoring, followed by Ireland, and Garret Vander Velde, who was later named player of the game.

Unfortunately, Ireland’s second goal was eclipsed by the Owen Sound game-winner with only 44 seconds left.
