Who has the most gigantic pumpkin in the land?
The second annual Metz Giant Pumpkin weigh off and toss is on Oct 17 at noon at St Pauls United Church in Metz, at the corner of 3rd Line and Sideroad 25 in old West Garafraxa.
The weigh off is held in conjunction with the anniversary Church service at 11am, for St. Pauls Metz.
Lunch will follow and people are to feel free to bring a pumpkin or zucchini desert for lunch.
This year, along with the pumpkin weigh-off, there will be a new section for the biggest zucchini.
The classes are: giant pumpkin (by weight ) 1. Age 19 years and under as of Jan 1; 2. over 19 as of Jan 1 2010; Giant Zucchini (by weight) 1. open to all ages,
Prizes include bragging rights to the heaviest pumpkins and zucchini trophy for the largest in all classes.
