WALKER, Velma Mary (Molto). It is with great sadness in our hearts that the family announces the passing of Velma, on February 1, 2017 at the Guelph General Hospital, in her 92nd year, surrounded by her children. Beloved wife of the late Hector for 57 years (2001). Loving Mom of LaVerne Halliburton (Doug Hagan), Doug (Dora), Ed (Gail) and Lori (Rob) Green. Cherished grandma to 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Velma will be sadly missed by her sister Cel (George) Smith, brothers Pat, Joe (Leola) and Vic (Thelma) as well as many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.Family received friends at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph, on Sunday, February 5, 2017 from 12-2 p.m., followed by a service celebrating Velma’s life, in the chapel at 2 p.m. In memory of Velma, donations can be made to the Foundation of Guelph General Hospital, or to the charity of one’s choice.
