WAKELIM, Joan Elizabeth of Mount Forest at Guelph General Hospital on Thursday, August 3rd, 2017 in her 79th year. Beloved wife of the late Fred Wakelim who predeceased her in March 2017. Loving mother of Tim Wakelim of Baden, Jennifer and her husband Dale Nicholson of RR#3 Ayton and the late NancyAnn Gullison. Mother-in-law of David Gullison. Cherished grandmother of Douglas, Emma, Greg, Ryan, James, Krystal, Samantha and Robert. Sadly missed by her sisters Norma Ott and Elaine Holland both of Harriston. Sister-in-law of Lois Kerr of Harriston and Robert (Bob) Sockett of Edmonton. Predeceased by her brothers Allan Kerr and his wife Vera, Tom Kerr and his wife Anne, Bob Kerr and her sisters Helen Noble and her husband George, Blanche Sockett and brother in law Eldon Ott. Friends called at the England Funeral Home, Mount Forest on Friday, August 4, 2017 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. A Celebration of Joan’s life was held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Mount Forest, on Saturday August 5th at 11 a.m. Interment in Mount Forest Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to Louise Marshall Hospital Foundation, Cancer Patient Services or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
