WAKELIM, Fred. Frederick Edgar Wakelim, of Mount Forest, passed away at his home on Sunday, March 19th, 2017 in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of Joan (nee Kerr). Loving father of Tim Wakelim of Baden, Jennifer and her husband Dale Nicholson of RR#3 Ayton and the late NancyAnn Gullison. Father-in-law of David Gullison. Cherished grandfather of Douglas, Emma, Greg, Ryan, James, Krystal, Samantha and Robert. Dear brother of Jean Gransden of Owen Sound, Winona Hall of Mount Forest, Marjorie Newman of Harriston and brother-in-law of David Breau of Toronto. Fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews and their families. Predeceased by his brother Elliott Wakelim, his sister Beth Breau, his brothers-in-law Brydon Hall and Carl Newman and his nephew Bradley Newman. Friends called at the England Funeral Home, Mount Forest on Wednesday, March 22nd from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. A celebration of Fred’s life was held at the Mount Forest United Church on Thursday morning at 11 o’clock, with visitation prior to the service from 10 - 10:45 a.m. Spring interment at Mount Forest Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Louise Marshall Hospital Foundation or Cancer Patient Services would be appreciated by the family.
