Victim Services recognizes volunteers

Victim Services Wellington held its annual Volunteer Appreciation Event on June 24 in Drayton.

Over 50 people attended the dinner, which was beautifully prepared by the Drayton United Church Women, followed by a time of appreciation and recognition.

Those who have been members for one year or more received a portfolio. Ten people received a VSW watch for five years of service and eight people were presented with a sterling silver pin for ten years of service.

Various businesses throughout Wellington County generously contributed toward the evening to show their support for the volunteers.

Since 1996, Victim Services Wellington volunteers have been providing emotional and practical assistance to victims of crime and tragedy.

VSW is a non-profit charitable organization that works with police and emergency services in every community in Wellington County.
