Varsity boys soccer team travels to Shelburne for semi-final

NORWELL – The Norwell District Secondary School varsity boys soccer team travelled to Shelburne on Oct. 30 to face off against Centre Dufferin District High School in the District 4 semi-final.

The team dominated the play early with stellar work from Hudson H. and Gavyn M. Shelburne scored on a lucky bounce but the boys remained determined. Leo B. put the team on his back in the second half, with the boys pressing for the equalizer. The weather turned into a blizzard and so did the Norwell attack, with Payton D. finding the back of the net. Unfortunately Shelburne scored a late goal and Norwell came up just short. The Varsity Reds placed third. “Thanks for a great season, Varsity Reds. Well done gentleman,” school officials state.
