van den BRINK, Maria August 31, 1930 – March 14, 2018. Passed away peacefully at Wellington Terrace – Fergus, on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at the age of 87. Maria was the beloved wife of the late John van den Brink (2015). Cherished mother of Jacoba (Earl) Near of Guelph, Evelyne (Glen) Near of Arthur and John (Sandy) van den Brink of Alberta. Maria will be dearly missed by her 8 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. The family received friends at MacKinnon Family Funeral Home, 55 Mill St. E., Acton, on Saturday, March 17, 2018 from 10-11 a.m. A Funeral Service followed in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. Interment held at Fairview Cemetery, Acton. As expressions of sympathy, and in lieu of flowers, donations to Groves Memorial Hospital Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family.
