Valliere, William James (Jim); October 25, 1915 – May 16, 2012. After 96 years, Jim passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. Predeceased in 2007 by his dear wife of 65 years, Gladys (Lehman) as well as his parents Angus and Annie and his 4 sisters, Dorothy, Margaret, Grace and Bessie. Survived by his children Patricia (Dwight) and Jim (Linda). Loving Grandfather of Lisa (Rob), Kristen (Matthew), Kevin (Kathryn), Nathan (Angie) and Michael (Chantal). Great- Grandfather to Matthew, Michael, Charlie, Larissa, Hudson, Chase, Avery and Sydney. Jim was a retired farmer who loved gardening and woodworking. He also loved visiting with family, friends and neighbours and watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow up. The Funeral Service was held at Dods & McNair Funeral Home, 21 First St., Orangeville (519-941-1392) on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at 4:00pm. Visitation with the family was held 1 hour prior to the service time. A special thank-you to the staff at Avalon Care Centre, Shelburne Residence and Headwaters Health Care Centre for all their care and compassion towards Jim. A tree will be planted in memory of Jim in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. A dedication service will be held on Sunday, September 9th, 2012 at 2:30pm. (Condolences may be offered to the family at www.dodsandmcnair.com)
