Police say two people, who appear to be teenage boys, caught on a surveillance camera at the site of a suspicious fire are not suspected of setting the fire.

On July 20 at about 8:12pm emergency crews responded to a structure fire at 243 Main Street South in Rockwood.

The home was not damaged and there were no injuries reported, but a pool house was destroyed by the fire, which is  being treated as suspicious. It was the fourth suspicious fire that day on the east side of Wellington County.

OPP officials say the property was “returned to the custody of the home owner” on July 21 and the next morning, someone “trespassed onto the property and caused damage.”

Later that afternoon, at about 2pm on July 22, surveillance cameras caught two people, who appear to be teenage boys, trespassing on the property.

Police issued a release stating they wanted to identify and speak to the teens, but later confirmed they are not suspects in the case.
