Tye McGinn re-signs with the Lightning
Fergus native Tye McGinn has re-signed with the Tampa Bay Lightning.
The team announced the one-year, two-way contract on June 28.
McGinn played two games with the Lightning last season, skating in 72 games with the Syracuse Crunch, the Lightning’s AHL affiliate.
McGinn posted 20 goals and 44 points to go along with 53 penalty minutes with the Crunch, ranking third on the team in points and goals.
The 6-foot-2, 205-pound forward has played in 89 career NHL games over four seasons, recording nine goals and 17 points.
