Two unsuccessful bidders for Erin study projects identified

ERIN – In response to a question from the Advertiser, the Town of Erin has identified the unsuccessful bidders in a competition to conduct three studies for the town.

At the Dec. 5 meeting, a report from CAO Nathan Hyde said a joint bid from Global Investment Attraction Group and Sierra Planning and Management was recommended, at a cost of $113,575.

Responding to a council question, he listed the amounts of the other bids, but not the bidders.

Later, communications officer Jessica Spina reported the bids were from MDB Insight at $148,639 and Satori Consulting at $52,750.

“We can publicly say the amount of the bid, but cannot identify the cost breakdown of each item,” Spina said.

She said the Global-Sierra bid provided an “innovative approach” and based on criteria in the Request for Proposal (RFP), was the best fit for creating a Strategic Plan; Parks, Recreation and Culture Master Plan; and Economic Development Plan.

All other municipalities in Wellington County routinely identify RFP competing bidders and the amounts of the bids.
