Two acting Chief Administrative Officers have been named at the Grand River Conservation Authority while a replacement is sought for retiring CAO Paul Emerson.

Joe Farwell, who is currently the assistant CAO for resource management, and Keith Murch, who is a CAO and secretary/treasurer, will both be acting CAOs effective Sept. 4.

Emerson, who leaves the GRCA on Sept. 3 after 10 years in the top position and three decades as an employee, is moving on to become the CAO of Brant County.

Alan Dale, chairman  of the GRCA board of directors, said Aug. 27 a human resources consultant has been retained to advise the board on replacing Emerson. It is expected a new CAO will be hired by the end of November.
