Turner, Melvin; Passed away peacefully at Groves Memorial Hospital, Monday, June 7th, 2010. John Melvin Turner of Fergus in his 98th year. Predeceased by his wife Jean (nee: Henderson 2003) and wife Audrey (nee: Cardno 1976). Loving father of Marg (Ron) Griffin, Edie (Jack) Ward, Marion (Joe, 2008) Hoch and Bev (Ron) Anticknap. Stepfather of John (Mo) Rutherford, Gail (Bill, 2006) and Jayne (Don) Wilson. Grandfather to Paul, Michael, Shelly, Lisa, David, Kim, Susan, Rhonda and Amy, Michael, Tricia, Krista, Tim and Cody. Great grandfather (Poppi) to Todd, Kevin, Isaiah, David and Joshua, Lyvia, Sebastian, Corbin, Lukas, Erik Landon. Step grandfather to William, Owen, Bronwyn, Kiara, Avalon and Mac. Dear brother to Elmer and Carmen. Predeceased by parents Norman and Jessie Turner, as well as siblings Harvey, Pearl, Wilfred, Clifford, Gordon and Garnet. The family will receive their friends for visitation at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David St. South in Fergus, on Thursday, June 10th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A Funeral Service for Melvin will be officiated by Karla Wubbenhorst at the  Funeral Home Chapel, on Friday, June 11th at 11am. Interment will be held at the Belsyde Cemetery. Reception to follow at Melville United Church, Fergus. For those who wish, memorial donations can be directed to Canadian Red Cross or Westminster St. Paul’s Church Building Fund.
