Alzheimer’s Hot Chocolate and Candy Cane Fundraiser

Erin Fire Fighters 8th Annual Food Drive and BBQ Nov. 17 and 18

The Station 10 Erin Fire Fighters are hosting their 8th Annual Food Drive and BBQ in support of the EWCS food bank.

This is a two-day event taking place at Marc’s Valu-Mart in Erin and will run from 10am to 2pm both days.

Residents are asked to bring a non-perishable food or cash donation. Over the past several years, over 17,000 pounds of food have been collected and $16,000 raised.

This has been an incredible help to the local food bank, especially with the Christmas season and so many families who rely on this help each year and each year, the number of families continues to grow.

“We are so fortunate to have such a supportive and generous community,” says Erika Westcott, Manager of Community Services and Volunteers with EWCS.

“This food drive with the Erin fire fighters is tremendous and I am overwhelmed with the amount of food and funds it continues to raise each and every year. Our agency alone could not possibly support the over 500 client visits our program sees every year without the generous community donations that we are so blessed to receive and events like this. Thank you all of our Town of Erin residents, businesses and community organizations for your ongoing support. You help us continue to help those in our community who need it most.” Come out to enjoy the BBQ, meet your local fire fighters and most importantly, help them continue to raise much needed food and funds for the food bank.

Those wishing to help with the local food bank through volunteering or hosting a food drive, please contact Erika at 519-833-9696 or email erika.w@ew-cs.com.
