FERGUS – Volunteer Theresa Evan helps to plant trees at the Fergus Dog Park on May 12.  Mathieu Alain, landscape architect and urban forestry project manager for the Township of Centre Wellington, and his team organized the planting of a variety of 31 native trees and shrubs at the Fergus Dog Park. The trees were donated by the Wellington County Green Legacy nursery. “It was a job well done and in record time (2 hours!), with help from Neighbourwoods volunteers,” officials stated, adding it is hoped the tree planting becomes an annual event.
