Trafalgar Road reopened
HILLSBURGH – Trafalgar Road, travelling through downtown Hillsburgh, reopened at last on May 25. The main arterial road had been closed since May 2023 for work related to the Town of Erin’s new wastewater treatment plant. A major sewer line, watermains and connections to adjacent properties have all been completed, along with new sidewalks, curbs and layers of asphalt. Installation of a pressure release valve at the Church Street intersection is anticipated for sometime around the first week of June. Though the road won’t be closed, there will be lane reductions related to that work. A third and final layer of asphalt is expected to be laid in September.
