Township to continue directing OLG funds to capital budget

Centre Wellington  councillors are adopting a number of recommendations from committees of the whole on Sept. 7 and 18.

Recommendations adopted by council on Sept. 25 include:

From Sept. 7:

- council reaffirmed its policy to continue to allocate all OLG funds towards the capital budget; and

- council directed staff to increase funding to the economic development budget to establish a strategy to market the township to attract outside business interests.

From Sept. 18:

- council accepted report CAO2017 for information and an update on the Elora and Fergus RT04 Destination Next project; and

- council received for information an update on the Centre Wellington Scoped Tier 3 Water Budget presented as IS2017-18 .
