Township set to hire full-time fire chief
Wellington North has narrowed down its search for a full-time fire chief to one candidate.
Councillor Mark Goetz, head of the township’s fire committee, declined to comment on who will fill the position until details are finalized.
“We did have a final interview with a fire chief and the committee will make a recommendation to council at a later date,” Goetz told council at its March 4 meeting.
In all, 32 resumes were received for the full-time position for the recently amalgamated Wellington North Fire Service, with stations in Arthur and Mount Forest.
The position has a salary range of between $55,000 and $75,800.
