The public health unit has issued a boil water advisory for some residents on Frederick Street here.

On Oct. 24 at about 3:40pm Wellington North CAO Mike Givens issued a press release stating that the advisory, which applies to those living on Frederick Street East,  between Isabella and George Streets, was put into effect by  Dr. Nicola Mercer, Medical Officer of Health and CEO of Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health.

"The advisory is due to a water main break on Frederick Street East," the township press release stated.

"The advisory is a precautionary measure and will remain in effect until sampling indicates that the water is safe to drink."

Anyone needing further information can call the township office at 519-848-5327.
