Township grants businesses $3,700 for building improvements

KENILWORTH – Main Street businesses The Imagination Space, a boutique store and play area, and The Tipsy Fox, a new pub, in downtown Mount Forest have been granted a total of $3,700 from Wellington North’s Community Improvement Program.

The program grants tax dollars for building improvements and property “in an effort to support revitalization and redevelopment activities in our community,” according a report from economic development officer Dale Small.

Money will go toward a blade and facade signage at The Imagination Space, and facade signage at the Tipsy Fox Pub and Grill, to open at the former Mount Royal Tavern.

According to Small’s report, council has approved $10,000 in improvement grant funding this year, including those for The Imagination Space and The Tipsy Fox.
