KENILWORTH – Wellington North council has given its endorsement to the 2019 1km and 5km run in memory of Steven Hutchison.
On March 11, council received correspondence from Susan O’Neill, who is working with Stuart and Myrna Hutchison and the committee organizing the annual Get In Touch for Hutch event to run in conjunction with the Arthur Optimists July 1 Canada Day weekend festivities.
O’Neill noted the event is in memory of Stuart and Myrna’s son Steven.
All funds raised will be donated to mental health/suicide awareness and prevention.
The run begins at 9:30am on June 29 followed by a light lunch at the pavilion around 11:30am.
The 1km and 5km running /walking routes remain the same as last year.
Neither route crosses Highway 6, with the aim of not deviating major traffic on a long weekend.
