Township declares tower lands available for sale
For generations it provided a large part of Fergus with water.
Now the property at 210 Forfar Street in the north end of the community is available for sale.
The water tower on the land has been dismantled and on June 11 Centre Wellington council agreed it no longer needs the land.
It passed a bylaw declaring the land to be surplus as a step to selling it.
Council was unanimous that it no longer needs the lot.
