Township: Bus transit launch "exciting"
At the June 17 Centre Wellington committee of the whole meeting, councillor Mary Lloyd said she recently took part in a social justice meeting regarding bus transit throughout Centre Wellington.
“It’s an exciting development providing transit affordably,” she said, adding the cost is $2 per trip from Elora to Fergus and back again.
Lloyd said when residents see the yellow school bus travelling through the community on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, it will be the community transit.
The launch for the service was slated for June 19.
Mayor Joanne Ross-Zuj added, “we’ll be looking forward to its success.”
